The HRCLC-FLO Technical Manager will be based at our North American manufacturing facility in Florence, SC. This dynamic position will be a rewarding opportunity to provide strategic leadership to lead the Electrical, Mechanical and Architectural Contract Engineers supporting the quality and schedule attainment goals for the High-Rise Contract Logistics Center in Florence, SC (HRCLC-FLO). Additionally, this manager will be an integral member of the team to organize the structure of contract engineering and innovation for Skyrise Phase 3 and sustaining support of Skyrise Phase 1 and 2. 

Job Requirements:

  • Manage schedule attainment to support customers’ delivery requirements
  • Ensure technical completeness and accuracy of departmental technical outputs
  • Support the transition of identified scope of the Skyrise product to HRCLC-FLO Contract Logistics Center
  • Establish objectives for direct reports, and ensure that the duties, responsibilities and accountability of all direct reports are defined and understood
  • Provide regular performance feedback, and assist with employee development and training
  • Drive departmental ACE/continuous improvement processes and initiatives
  • Solution Knowledge: The leader has a broad understanding of product solutions and is able to effectively articulate the business value of the proposed solutions in ways that resonate with the key stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with company’s policies, procedures, guidelines and standards
  • Uphold company values, ethics, mission and vision

Education / Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree  with 5-7 years of elevator experience
Master’s degree with 3-5 years of elevator experience

Candidates must be:

  • Able to work in cross-functional teams, respect individual differences, and welcome diverse thinking

The ideal candidate would have: 

  • Experience in the elevator industry
  • Familiarity with elevator components
  • Management experience
  • Experience in AutoCAD, and Pro/Engineer/CREO (parts, assemblies and drawing creation)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
